Robert F. Kroeger, DDS, Founder and Chairman

Robert F Kroeger, DDS, Founder and ChairmanDr.Robert Kroeger is the founder and director of the American Foundation for Healing for Survivors of Sexual Abuse. He served for four years in the U.S. Navy at the National Naval Medical Center, Bethesda, Maryland, and aboard the USS Simon Lake, finishing with the rank of lieutenant commander. A graduate of the Ohio State University College of Dentistry, he has a private practice in Cincinnati. He is a stress management consultant, certified by the Institute for Personality and Ability Testing, Champaign, IL, and has given numerous presentations on stress management and treating fearful dental patients to dental groups both in the USA and abroad. He has published over 30 articles in dental journals, including the Journal of the American Dental Association, and has written two books on treating dental phobics. He is a past adjunct lecturer at the University of Kentucky College of Dentistry and was a co-investigator in a two-year research grant funded by the American Fund for Dental Health. In 2006 he received the Be the Scream Award for his advocacy role in raising awareness of the multifaceted effects of childhood sexual abuse. Dr. Kroeger lives in Cincinnati. He and his late wife have five children and one special son-in-law.

Roger Healey, J.D., Legal counsel, Secretary

Roger Healey, J.D., Legal counselRoger Healey attended Ohio University in Athens, Ohio from 1967 through 1969, and the Institute de Touraine in Tours, France in 1970. He was the first American student to attend the Université de Tours Law School in Tours, France and successfully complete the first year of law school there. Graduated cum laude from Ohio University in 1971. Served two years in the U.S. Army from 1971 through 1973. Received his Juris Doctorate Degree from the University of Cincinnati Law School in 1976. Mr. Healey established the legal organization of this foundation. He was a partner with the Cincinnati, Ohio law firm of Kohnen & Kohnen from 1981 to 1986, and a partner with Cincinnati, Ohio law firm of Buechner, Haffer, O’Connell, Meyers & Healey Co., LPA from 1987 to 2006. He is presently General Counsel for Richard Goettle, Inc., a national construction engineering company. He is a member of the Cincinnati, American and Ohio Bar Associations. Served on Board of Trustees of Kenwood Country Club from 1993 through 1998 and 2005 through present. He is fluent in French. Mr. Healey is also a marathon runner, having finished seven Cincinnati Flying Pig Marathons and the famous Grandfather Mountain Marathon. He and his wife reside in Cincinnati and have one son.

Roger Schorr, M.B.A.Roger Schorr is a retired business CEO and currently serves on the boards of several charitable foundations. His board membership, including many chairperson positions, include or have included: United Way, Visiting Nurses Association, University of Cincinnati, Life Center Organ Donation (President), Leadership in Cincinnati, Every Child Succeeds, YMCA, US Tissue and Cell Board, 4C Board of Trustees, Diabetes Center for Adults, Greater Cincinnati Diabetes Program, Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation, Children, Inc.. Married with two grown children, he splits his time between Cincinnati and Naples, Florida, where he plays golf off a single digit handicap.

Devin McCarthy, Vice-President

Devin McCarthy, President, Franklynn IndustriesDevin F. McCarthy attended Central Michigan University where he received a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration. Devin was the former president and owner of Franklynn Industries , an international chemical specialties manufacturer. Currently he is the President and CEO of Devinshire Land Development LLC, a land developer with properties in 4 states. Devinshire’s main project is Queensgap Resort, a 4,000 acre second home resort community located in the western mountains of North Carolina. Devin has been married to Janis Lynn for 27 years and they have four sons – Ryan, Michael, Andrew, and Devin. He serves on the boards of multiple foundations.

W. Timothy Allred, Treasurer

W. Timothy Allred, Vice-President, Smith-BarneyWm. Timothy Allred is a First Vice President and Senior Portfolio Manager at Smith Barney, investment brokers, where he has been associated the past 24 years. He is a graduate of the University of Cincinnati in 1972. Currently he serves on the board of Visions, Dominican Community Services, an intercity Head Start and Teen Mom program located in the West End. He is also active with the SPCA. A former U.S. Marine, Mr. Allred enjoys golf and travel.

Ann Kearney-Cooke, Ph.D.

Ann Kearney-Cooke, Ph.D.Dr. Ann Kearney-Cooke maintains a private practice of psychology and is the director of the Cincinnati Psychotherapy Institute. A graduate of California State College and Michigan State University, she received her Ph.D. from the University of Miami. Dr. Kearney-Cooke treats many survivors of sexual abuse and is a leading authority on the treatment of adolescents and adults with eating disorders and bodily image dissatisfaction. She is the author of Change Your Mind, Change Your Body: Feeling Good About Your Body and Self After 40. She received the Distinguished Scholars Award from the Partnership for Women’s Health at Columbia University for her leadership in women’s health. She was honored as a Fellow of the American Psychological Association for her outstanding contributions to the psychology of women in the field of media psychology. She was also named a YWCA Woman of Achievement. Dr. Kearney-Cooke is a consultant for Shape, Jump, Seventeen, and Parenting magazines. She has appeared on many national broadcast programs including: CBS This Morning, The Today Show, Oprah, CBS Morning Show, Good Morning America, The Jane Pauley Show, The Montel Williams Show, 48 Hours, Fox News, The Edge, CNN Headline News, and In The Mix. She is married and has four children.

Charles P. Vonderhaar, CPA

Charles P. Vonderhaar, CPACharles "Chuck" Vonderhaar is a certified public accountant and has maintained an accounting business in Cincinnati since 1980. He is married and has two sons.
